The Barn Quilts of Rock County Committee continues to move forward in 2011. They are currently taking applications for 2’, 4’ and 8’ square quilts for your barn or building. Applications and brochures are available at this website, Rock County UW Extension Office or from committee members, Jeanette Beard, 608-868-4240; Ronna Ballmer, 608-758-9600; or Phil Woodworth, 608-295-5112. They will be more than happy to work with you to develop your own barn quilt. Contact us if you are interested or want to know more about this unique project. NEW THIS YEAR: The Barn Quilts Committee is proud to announce that a self guided tour map of over 70 Barn Quilt locations is available in the 2011 Rock County Guide…Wisconsin’s Front Porch Magazine. This free magazine is available at businesses across the county, the Rock County Clerk’s Office and the UW Extension Office, located in the Courthouse. Pick one up and enjoy the tour.
Calendars with photos of barn quilts located at various sites in Rock County are available for $10 at the UWEX Office and businesses around the county.
