Brown Marmorated Stink Bug
If you thought Japanese beetles were bad, just wait until you catch a whiff of the brown marmorated stink bug.
During a recent Master Gardener training, PJ Liesch, UW-Madison Departments of Entomology and Plant Pathology, explained BMSB’s huge impact on fruit production on the east coast of the US and the potential damage it can cause in Wisconsin’s own fruit, vegetable and ornamental production.
Whether a home gardener or a commercial grower-this is a pest to pay attention to.
It has been detected in Wisconsin.
