In conjunction with
Rotary Gardens, University of Wisconsin Extension offers the Master
Gardener Training Program, a 60 hour program that begins mid-September.
It covers the basics of horticulture, including classes on woody
and herbaceous ornamental plant materials, fruit and vegetable
crops, plant diseases and insect pests.
After completing the
training program and 24 hours of volunteer service, participants
become University of Wisconsin Extension Master Gardeners. Acceptance
into the program is limited. For general information contact Mike

*MGV= Master Gardener Volunteer. Volunteers for each session will assist with greeting and check-in, coffee prep, handouts, and class activities as necessary. Certified MGV's should also be available to assist interns with any questions about the program. Each class is open to all certified Master Gardener Volunteers in the Rock Prairie MG Association.
