The FoodWIse program of Rock County is a Family Living program that provides nutrition information to youth and families with limited income. FoodWIse is funded by the USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Nutrition education programming takes place with children, adolescents and adults in schools and community organizations such as food pantries, WIC offices, Community Action, shelters, health clinics, Exchange Family Resource Centers, Stateline Literacy Council and Head Start.
A series of free classes using the evidence-based Eating Smart, Being Active curriculum is also available to adults who are pregnant or have children in their care.
